Dr. Mehryar (Ray) Taban was raised in the Los Angeles area. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from UCLA before earning his medical degree from the University of California, Irvine. He then completed his ophthalmology residency at the renowned Cleveland Clinic, where he was selected to serve as Chief Resident.
Dr. Taban returned to Los Angeles to complete a two-year fellowship in oculofacial cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery at UCLA’s prestigious Jules Stein Eye Institute. He further advanced his expertise through additional fellowship training in cosmetic facial surgery under Dr. Ronald Strahan in Santa Monica, California.
Dr. Mehryar (Ray) Taban is among the select surgeons holding board certification through the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO) and membership in the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS). He is also a diplomate of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery (ABCS). His practice focuses on cosmetic and reconstructive eyelid and facial plastic surgery.
